Blood Donation Program 2025 – A Heartfelt Beginning

An Unforgettable Day of Giving Back

On the morning of 15th August 2025, the Rotary Club of Vision Kathmandu kicked off its very first service project of the year with a Blood Donation Program at Norvic International Hospital. This event brought together our passionate members, generous donors, and a wonderful community, all united for a life-saving cause.

Welcoming Our Guests and Honoring Service

The event started on a hopeful note with our President, Rtn. Jagat Bahadur Pokhrel, who, alongside our special Chief Guest, Suresh Kumar Shrestha (Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Nepal), officially opened the program. Their words were a warm welcome to all those present, setting the stage for what would be a meaningful and inspiring morning.

A Heartfelt Welcome to All

Club Advisor Rtn. Durga Dev Subedi and Service Project Coordinator Rtn. Ganesh Prasad Adhikari also took a moment to express their appreciation for the presence of all our guests, members, and especially the donors. Their recognition and gratitude made it clear how much we value everyone’s contribution to making this event a success.

An Inspiring Speech

The highlight of the event came from our Chief Guest, Suresh Kumar Shrestha, whose words really resonated with everyone in the room. He spoke passionately about the importance of blood donation, calling it a noble act of humanity. His encouragement reminded us all of how each unit of blood donated can truly save lives and how Rotary continues to make a difference in society.

Wrapping Up with Gratitude

As the event drew to a close, President Rtn. Jagat Bahadur Pokhrel took a moment to express his deepest thanks. He acknowledged the generosity of the donors, the support of the hospital team, and the tireless efforts of all Rotary members who came together to make this event a reality. His closing words left everyone feeling a sense of pride and fulfillment in what we had accomplished together.

The Spirit of Service Above Self

This blood donation drive wasn’t just about numbers; it was a beautiful reflection of the Spirit of Service Above Self, something that Rotary stands for. The collaboration with Norvic International Hospital ensured that everything went smoothly, and the process was safe and efficient. Seeing the community come together for such a meaningful cause truly showed the power of working together to make a difference.

A Heartfelt Thank You

On behalf of the entire Rotary Club of Vision Kathmandu, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to Norvic International Hospital for their invaluable logistical support. A special thank you to Suresh Kumar Shrestha, for his inspiring presence, and to every donor, member, and guest who joined us. You made this event a success, and your contributions will continue to have a lasting impact.
